Facilities

At our English School you will learn English in spacious, brightly lit classrooms and a comfortable common area, with internet access and kitchen facilities. Our Language Centre can cater for over 70 students of English at a time. Modern teaching aids including audio visual, computing and other equipment are available to further maximise your learning potential.

Study Hours

Lyceum's English programs offer 25 hours of tuition each week, 20 hours in small class groups and 5 hours per week as self accessed supervised study.

• On your first day you will spend your first hour doing short written and oral tests to help us establish your level in English.

We are Unique

We combine the teaching of English to students of non-English speaking backgrounds during the day with the teaching of six languages other than English to Australian students in the evenings (LOTE). IELTS Tests and Cambridge Exams

These are internationally recognised English language proficiency tests. They are used for entry into tertiary studies and for vocational purposes. At Lyceum, you can prepare for these tests.

Introduction to IELTS or Cambridge starts at regular intervals, make enquiries as to start dates.

Activities and Excursions

There are class time excursions and evening activities. On Saturdays, we can organise excursions for small groups of Lyceum students to take part in Australian life outside Melbourne.
