Conversation and Beach House Weekends
Lyceum is proud to be the only school in Australia offering both an ELICOS program (English Language Intensive Courses) and a LOTE program (Foreign Languages, other than English).
This ensures wonderful opportunities for language practice and the forming of friendships for our two student groups. In addition, many benefits flow on such as house sharing and job opportunities. We currently have 1,250 Australians enrolled at Lyceum to study Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin or German.
Australian students attend Lyceum in the evenings or Saturday mornings at one of our four centres. Please visit our LOTE website for more details: www.lyceum.com.au
Free Program of Integration of International and Australian students
Regular Friday evening Conversation Activities followed by Social Outings
International and Australian students meet on designated Fridays, at our city centre, 5pm- 6.30pm for structured conversation activities and games followed by a social outing to a bar or restaurant. They are joined by teachers and admin staff.
Our International and local Australian students also interact over the internet via our Lyceum Language Centre Facebook page and share regular free barbeque parties on our brand new rooftop garden.
Beach House Language Weekends in Lorne
Students take a 2 hour train/bus ride to Lorne, a beautiful, ocean beach town surrounded by forests. Students can visit the local fish market to buy fresh food, and cook together. They can also enjoy relaxing days at the beach, take surfing lessons, experience town life and go for bush walks. Please see the course fees page for prices.
