National Recognition

We have been teaching languages since 1991, and with such a wealth of experience, Lyceum offers excellence.

National and State recognition of the courses we teach is organised through government bodies including the Office of Training and Tertiary Education, the Australian Qualifications Framework Advisory Board, and the Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority. Lyceum is an active member of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET). ACPET is the national industry association for independent providers of post-compulsory education and training, for Australian and international students. Membership of this professional body ensures quality.

These bodies have various roles to play in standardising curriculum content and measuring learning outcomes, ensuring training organizations meet their obligations and that students who are awarded certificates can be confident that those certificates will be recognised by employers and academic institutions nation wide.

Courses in English offered by Lyceum English Language Australia are approved by the Department of Education. Each of the courses listed here are designed to meet the needs of students seeking to improve their skills and confidence for a variety of purposes:

• further education at University and TAFE
• work and vocational pursuits
• day to day life.

Successful completion of courses at the appropriate levels will result in qualification for the following nationally recognized certificates:

• 21936VIC Certificate I in ESL (Access)
• 21932VIC Certificate II in ESL (Access)
• 21939VIC Certificate III in ESL (Further Study)
• 21940VIC Certificate IV in ESL (Further Study)
• 21937VIC Certificate IV in ESL (Professional)

Successful completion of the courses will also enable you to sit for the IELTS tests or the CAMBRIDGE tests, which are internationally recognised qualifications in English language.
